hyatt regency da nang

hyatt regency da nang

We dropped by Da Nang mainly because of the beach. Although the city has many affordable hotel options, most of them are not beach front. Don't get me wrong, of course, you can go to Da Nang and visit the stretch of sand without staying nearby, but for us, it will be such a hassle, since our main goal is to have a lazy day at the beach. Da Nang mainly has several beaches in the South, namely My Khe, Pham Van Dong, My Anh, and Non Nuoc stretching all the way from Son Tra Peninsula. The beach area and the city centre is connected by two bridges, the Han River Bridge and Dragon Bridge.

We picked Hyatt Regency Da Nang mainly because it sits perfectly on Non Nuoc Beach. This beach front hotel offers a complex of restaurants, gym, pool, tennis court, and other facilities. We literally just stayed here almost the entire day. It is one of the perfect resort if you just want to have a lazy day on the beach and just doing nothing. These days, it is such a privilege for me to really sit and enjoy the view and my holiday without worrying about work and other things, or even social media.

First of when we arrived, we could not check into our room immediately as they were still preparing it. It seems like the hotel is very full when we visited. After waiting for about half an hour, finally we went to our room in block H which is near to the beach. The room itself was huge. I love the walk in closet and of course the huge bathroom with a sleek looking bath tub. The vanity mirror stretches from side to side and they have dual sink so you don't have to wait for one another. The toilet is placed on the other end of the room, while the bathtub and shower is placed together near the window 9(and yes you can open it!)

Our room has a double bed, television and a mini living room. They have a plug in speaker where you can plug your ipod or phone for the in room music. The room is also have a black out curtain (good attention to details). So far there's nothing to hate about the room.

Our room is a short 2 mintes walk away from the pool and 5 minutes walk away from the main beach. Apparently they have about 3 pools if I'm not mistaken. 1 is the main one where they have the overhead bridge and sort of lazy river. The second one is an all adult pool in the gym, and 1 more in the club room are. They also have tennis court and fitness center for those who want to get in shape.

I must say that Non Nuoc beach is very pretty! It has a similar vibe with Nusa Dua beach in Bali. Perhaps a bit remote but that's why I love a secluded beach. There was not a lot of people, no scramble, no trash. A perfect zen beach to get my sun tan.

We also tried their breakfast the next day. We did not include breakfast in the first place but I am glad that we tried their breakfast. All food are fresh and they have quite a huge range of food, from the standard western breakfast, some dim sum, to vietnamese soup, a whole range of fruits and granola, salad, and so on. The down side is, they can not put the bill in the room bill, and we did not know that. So we have to go back to our room, take our money and paid on the spot. How we wish they could do so, again to reduce the hassle.

Upon checkout, it was pretty full and how I wish they have more people on the desk. Checkout itself took about 45 minutes and yes it was that packed! There was no buggy came when we called for one so we decided to walk to the front desk to save the time. Service was great, but not the best from Hyatt. They mistaken my name on the welcome card where they placed the food and all in the living room. Duh, this should not happen as I think attention to detail is very important (well some people don't care but I do). Probably they are busy and packed, but yes if they do all these perfectly, they would have get a 5 star rating from me ;)
