blueprint emporium 2011

blueprint emporium 2011

Held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Blueprint 2011 showcases around 110 brands from Singapore and Asia, as well as global designs from USA, London, and France. In this event, most of the brands exhibit their upcoming cruise collection, with products vary from womenswear, menswear, shoes, bags, and contemporary jewellery.

art deco design necklace from L'ile Aux Ashby.

beautiful ring form Disaya

turquoise/gold bracelet from Indochine with Gaurika

Woon Hung earrings made from natural materials, like shells and coca beads.

adorable display packaging from Matina Amanita, they are inspired by fairytale for this collection.

The trade show for buyers and media commenced on 18-20 may while the Emporium on 21-22 may is open for public. As part of Asia Fashion Exchange 2011, it aims to promote up and coming Singapore and regional designers to the international market as well as exposing western brands to costumers in the east.

bags from Klutched and LingWu made from selected nappa and phyton skin. The Ling Wu bags has intricate details and really soft leather, mesmerizing both on visual and tactile. Klutched bags has really adorable structure as well as colour combination.

 leather shoes from Shito

jewellery by Carrie K. I think their booth have the most appealing visual merchandising.

proud to see the Indonesian designer's booths from Kle, Danjyo Hyoji, Isis, Stab, Seba shoes, No'om, etc from level 1 GI.

Noom/Soehoe and Jose Duran. Great fabric construction and manipulation.

designer JJS Lee explains about her collection to us. Personally love the material combination so much, the collection is so chic and sleek.

Belle Sauvage has the most amazing prints! The designer is inspired by make up and all bold colours for the collection.

All the brands showcased has their own unique selling point, I believe visitors will be spoilt for choice. Unfortunately not all brands have their representative in here, so I hope in the future they can have distributors in Singapore as well! In terms of event space, this year has bigger and better space compared to last year. It is just in my humble opinion some brands need to boost their visual merchandising to attract more visitors.

Overall, I am pleased to be part of AFX this year and discover more exciting new brands at Blueprint. Me and Cyn (contributor) were busy walking around, collecting press kits, and noting some important facts about the brands. I am so looking forward to next year's Blueprint showcase!
