March is a good month to talk about women empowerment. It is worthy to discuss as feminine courage tends to temper gentleness with all that is fierce. As for us women entrepeneur, sometimes there will be days where you are not motivated, but don't you know that the motivation usually comes after you show up? So don't start with gathering your motivation, but start with doing it.
There are so many women figure out there that can inspire us, like women activist Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay. Once when I went travelling, I visited the Daugthers of Cambodia, a social community helping the women trapped in traficking and exploitation. I heard real stories about them, something you would thought only exist in narrative book. Since that day, I realize there are still so many threats for women out there, yet we can do something to change. Check out Daughters of Cambodia or The Amal Center in Marrakech.
Reading: Further reading also involves the feminist and filmaking Barbara Hammer, see more details about her in The Paris Review.
Watching: Jackie. A searing portrait of America's first lady.
Visiting: Ikat/eCut event by Goethe Institute about fast fashion and how we can be more environmental friendly in choosing what we wear.
Stradivarius top. leather skirt. Zara wedges. New look cap.
so how do you spend this week? Any independent movies about women you want to share?
