Fall 2020 Fashion Trend

Fall season has arrived and I would love to do a roundup of my favourite Fall 2020 fashion trend. I realise that there are many fashion items that show up on the runway but I will only picked five among everything. I believe these trends are the ones that are more versatile and can be incorporated into everyday look. Check out my picks below!

Voluminous Sleeve

Voluminous sleeve or puff sleeve is a huge fashion trend for Fall 2020. I love how the voluminous sleeve gives a unique silhouette to my outfit. On the other hand, it is quite a tricky trend because some people say it will make your upper body looks bigger but don't worry because everything can look good if you know how to style it. I'm wearing a wrap top is adjustable and it can be tied to cinch the waist. To match it, use a streamlined bottom like this black asymmetrical skirt with chiffon material. It will create a balance look and structure for the entire outfit. This outfit can be worn for weekend or work if your office or job allows a more creative dress up like mine. I complete the look with a pair of cafe heels with lace accent in the same hue.

Metallic Wonder

Most probably one of my favourite trends of the year is to incorporate a metallic accent to your wardrobe. Metallic dresses in silver, gold, or rose gold is a fashion statement that will put you on the spotlight. You can choose to have the sheen metallic, sequins, or the lame material. If you just started, wearing a metallic top or accessories like scarf or headband will help you to jump into the trend bandwagon without being too much. Pair your metallic outfit with mini bag or clutch for a dinner night out or an evening tea at home.

Leather Touch

I know the leather trend is a love it or hate it issue. For those who love an edgy contemporary look this trend is a hit, but for those who prefer a more subtle piece, this one maybe a miss. For this trend. I opt for a leather mini skirt that is quite versatile for a casual look. I combine it with a rib knit bodysuit and wedges for a modern everyday wear. I must admit that the thing about a leather piece is that picking the faux leather fashion item can be a dilemma sometimes. For me it's more about how long will it last, because to be honest if you don't handle or keep it well, a faux leather item will be chipped easily. To ensure your item last longer, you must handle it well and do a dry clean whenever possible. Airing them out and wearing regularly will also help.

Preppy Plaid

Both preppy and punk plaid is on the rise on the fall 2020 fashion trend runway. I honestly love the preppy plaid because it has that nostalgic vintage feeling. The plaid blazer will elevate your office outfit to another level and is a great addition to your formal wardrobe. There are several colour combination of the plaid blazer that you choose, like grey, brown, green, or red. I have mine in brown colour because I think it is the easiest to mix and match, For a 70s vintage vibe, I match it with a bell bottom pants in red and a neutral coloured turtleneck. It's a reminiscence to vintage movie set like the Heathers and Pulp Fiction. Last but not least, carry a saddle bag like this Fossil vintage sling bag to complete the entire look.

Jewel Tone

Rich jewel tone is big for this fall 2020 fashion trend. From lush sapphire, deep burgundy, and a shade of jade, there's every colour for everyone. I feel that this jewel tone fits very well for those who have a medium - deep skin tone as it enhances your complexion. This Korean Hanbok inspired dress that I got a while ago has a very pretty blue that reflects sheen metallic hue when the light hits. The a-line silhouette is perfect for the weekend. As the weather gets chilly, throw your favourite coat or jacket on top of it and you are ready to go.

  8. Hey dear, hope you're doing good!

I love how you summed up the trends you've been using in the latest weeks, I see that your style is very consistent but you're always trying new materials and ways to add interesting details to your OOTD's... That's cool since I know you like to go for pieces that could be used a lot of times, but you're always adding that interesting touch, as I'd say the cherry on top!

Love all the options, they are perfect for the city life and very versatile.... you can go from the office to a meal with friends with one of these looks!

  13. Oh my gosh that long black dress you're wearing in the first few photos looks stunning on you (as do all your outfits)! I really love the puffy sleeve trend and I really need to invest in some puffy sleeve pieces for myself. Plaid always makes me nostalgic for fall!
