You can find niche and specialised food products like organic ingredients like pasta, gluten free flour, or different type of cheese you can think of! I bought some pasta, jam, and seasoning from The Organic Grocer (photo below) Oh and you must try Little Provence's framboise and mango sauce, perfect for seasoning or salad dressings.
Each stall is filled with wholesome flavour which ranges from fresh meat, seafood, to roasted pig. Try the infamous Keith crackling roast or bought some beef from James Butchery and Co. You can choose to bring your goods home or being directly cooked on the spot at Oceans of Seafood. I had pasta for lunch from Cicely kitchen and my friend had sandwich from Sea Salt Carribean Deli. Both are good !
There are also different stalls that sells cake or dessert like Bistro Bontintin or Rabbit Carrot Gun. Tried the waffle from Bitesize monster stall and it was so warm and nice! Fresh mango sorbet ice cream from Seventh Heaven artisanal dessert is perfect for sunny day. Brought home some macaroons from Bonheur Patisserie is one of the best macaroon in town. Its soft shell texture will filled in your mouth and the tasty filling will linger in your mouth. The size is quite big for a $3 piece macaroon.
Brought home wine or beer of your choice for meal companion from Straits Wine Organic or The Great Beer experiment. If you're tea lovers, make sure to drop by Clipper's Tea and Co stall for some tea tasting.
You can also spot florist, traders that offer craft materials- decor like the giant pom pom above, and aromatherapy by To Be Calm. Ended my trip by sipping a cup of coffee from awesome coffee from Dutch Colony coffee. Their special dutch blend is strong, less acidic and aromatic.

Nice post on PasarBella. Had a recent terrible experience with Cicely Kitchen though.
ReplyDeleteMy partner ordered Brussels sprouts and sauteed mushrooms at Cicely Kitchen. Was informed that it would take 5-8mins. Instead, she was made to wait over for 30mins.
When asked if the food was ready, the staff’s reply was there were many orders before hers. My partner’s sis told the teenage staff that he should have informed my partner earlier instead. We had gotten other food and were waiting for her return.
I guess this comment must have peeved the boss Alicia Lin off. She came over, scooped the food from the cooking pan and chucked it to my partner & her sis. She said curtly “Nah, take it, take it.”
Unfortunately, the food was not worth the wait for my family of 7 as both dishes were overly salty. Not wanting to waste our appetite on mediocre food (no problem though with the Boston lobsters, prawns, fish, paella, crackling roast, Iberico pork, russian cakes and the wonderful ale that we ordered), I took the sprouts back to Cicely Kitchen, told the crew that it was too salty and they can have it back. Sauteed mushroom got chucked unceremoniously into the bin. Anyway, I was not expecting any money back.
I believe if you want to run a F&B business, the least you can do is to be respectful of your patrons and cook them decent food. Else, you really should not be in this line. Based on what I read in The Straits Times SoShiok article, maybe home cook “extraordinaire” Alicia Lin knows that the end is near hence the terrible attitude.
Don’t take my words for it. Maybe my palate was tainted by the Iberico pork and lobsters. You can try Cicely Kitchen again and see if you still like it
Well, I certainly didn’t……
