I believe that what define us is how well we rise after falling. People may say they are in love and get along famously, but if you never fight or you've never been in the thick of serious conflight resolution, in the end you will not know their exact mindset as an individual. I often heard people complain about relationship that does not work, forgetting on how far have they tried in order to solve the problem. Everyone is a unique individual, but it is how we compromise to each other that gives us a new perspective.
Aside from that, only people who are capable of being alone are capable of loving someone else, because they have the ability to listen, share, and go into the depth of someone else's feeling - without becoming dependent, being over possesive, reducing the other's ability to become a complete person. They allow a freedom to their other half and know that their job is not to judge but only to lift if the other is fallen.
Some people think that our relationship is considered "new". In fact, we have known each other for about 9 years now. It is not easy and definitely not as smooth as a fairytale, but in the end, worth to fight for. We are both stubborn people, we both have our own problems, and we have been facing so many hardships. We have swam accross shattered glass of others people's words. We grow love from pain and rebirth from stars that had died along our journey. Together, we made each broken soul beautiful again and the strong look invincible. We have learned to embrace uncertainty and just dance to it. I also have learned to let someone love me the way I am, as flawed as I might be, and I know I will grow so much from it. Because in the end, you don't only measure love in time, but also in transformation. Your heart only knows resonance.
Most of all, there are only two things that prevent us from happiness, living in the past and observing other too much - wishing we are them. Do not forget that the grass is always greener where you water them. No relationship is all sunshine, but two people can share an umbrella and survive the storm together.

I love how honest and real this post is. And it's true, to be in a relationship with someone else is to let the walls fall down, and sometimes that leads to fights. But it means you're talking and working things out and being heard (and also listening).
