sheraton towers singapore

Had a chance to stay in another Starwood Hotels property again, and this time is Sheraton Towers Singapore. I was staying there partly because of a business conference I had to attend, nevertheless I had a great stay. This is my second Sheraton Hotel that I tried. Previously I tried the one in Surabaya.

My room was in 13 th floor, a standard room with king size. The room was neat and clean with basic 5 star hotels amenities including bath amenities. bath robe and slippers, the iron board, and complete set of coffee tea maker. I guess as a lot of hotels are growing in Singapore, Sheraton tried to step up their game by providing the Handy handheld phone that enables traveller to browse for deals, checking maps, emails, and make free local phone calls. Not a lot of hotels in Singapore provide that, but if you venture to other part of Asia like Shanghai or Hongkong, the handy has become an added value for hotel guest.

I like how the bathroom has marble bath tub and precise hot-cold water temperature you can adjust. Compare to other hotels, the design of the room itself is pretty much simple. You can see everything upon stepping inside the room. Room size was a standard for a five star hotel. Interior wise, wish they could bring up something fresh to keep up with the architecture trend. I wish they also provide a sofa instead of a lounge chair and some magazines as love to spend my morning sipping coffee and just reading some news.

Location wise, it is such a deal as it is located in the city centre but not in the noisy bustling Orchard road. Newton MRT station is just a stone throw away from the hotel and it is such a great access for travellers or for business purpose as it connects you to the other parts of Singapore instantly.

Breakfast was good. Selections was ok but not plenty, and the food quality is great. I did not had a chance to trey their other facilities, so I can not comment on that. For me the one in Surabaya somehow has a more luxurious feeling upon stepping in. I had a feeling because the Singapore building was older / has not been renewed in some time. So as a 5 star hotels, it has a great value for cleanliness and location, but design wise I believe that there is nothing special. Nevertheless, I hope to try their other hotels in different region.
