KoH T Fall Winter 2020 | Rakuten Tokyo Fashion Week Series
Collection Overview
Koh T Fall Winter 2020 collection, which was unveiled at Rakuten Tokyo Fashion Week, offers relaxed and luxurious style. Directed for both men and women, the pieces are based on tailoring with slim silhouette, modern shape, and calculated looseness. It will appeal for those who love artisan craftmanship, sustainable fashion, as well as modern mix and match co-ords.Coloring and Dyeing Technique
Both men's and women's looks are based on single / wide co-ords, while others consist of shirts, blouses, dresses and coats. Each of those items are made specifically with original color dye crafted in Japan that conveys the autumn winter landscape beautifully. As you can see, the finishing of these fabric colouring have the unique deep feeling with uneven dyeing and over-dying. Aside from the collection, their runway backdrop also caught my eyes. The backdrop for Koh T fall winter runway is a landscape made of paper by Japanese paper artist Tsuguo Yanai as seen on their Instagram.Sustainability Effort
One thing I love about Koh T is how sustainability is being the center of their creation. The main material used is cupra, and only eco-friendly fabrics are used, such as rayon, modal, cotton, wool, silk, linen, and paper yarn(OJO+). It is a collection of artisan spirits with unique colors and beautiful silhouettes, in which craftsmanship is added to sustainable materials.Style Frontier Picks
OJO+ Double Tailored Tuck Jacket
the Double Tailored Tuck Jacket is a part of a set up suits that uses OJO+ (Japanese paper thread) and rayon twisted thread. OJO+ has a unique fibrous and plump texture, is water reisistant, and is a very light fabric. It also has the property that it feels warm with air when it is cold, and breathes well when it is hot. The shape and flare silhouette woven from a large tuck creates a natural wrinkle feeling as you wear it.Bowtie Long Dress
I have always a long flow dress that makes an elegant evening piece. This long dress uses a glossy satin cloth on the inside and is finished with a fluffy cloth. It combines the soft feeling of rayon and the natural feel of cotton. The deep V-neck and the bow tie that continues from the collar can be arranged either by rotating it forward or by binding it backward. There is a switch on the back waist and a ribbon of the same fabric that allows you to browse the waist. The cuffs are gathered and the cuffs completed with shell buttons. The dress also comes with inner camisole.Knit Jaquard Over Tailored Coat
This overcoat is made of cotton wool with a soft knitted fabric and a thick interlining to give it a soft yet profound feel. The fabric is made of multicoloured pattern, and if you look closely, the pattern emerges. The silhouette itself is in between a relaxed shape and a tight chester court. You can adjust the front with two buttons and the cuffs with flaps and center waist with belt with buckle. This piece will surely match your winter wardrobe for many seasons to come.Shop Koh-T Collection here.

Meravigliosa collezione!
ReplyDeleteHi! Hope you're having a good weekend so far :)
ReplyDeleteI loved how you're taking us to new proposals that at least are new discoveries for me. There are many designers around there embracing the idea that crafts and customization and slow processes are the core of a good project.
I love the clean lines, the minimal aesthetic and the unexpected shapes!
