Afternoon Tea at Home

Making a simple activity fun is the key during this era. In Asia, things have started to open up but we are still limiting gathering to a few amount of people. Doing fun things like having an afternoon tea at home can be a good idea for the weekend. Here are some helpful tips of this little activity at home.

Prepare Your Favourite Food

For an afternoon tea at home, I prefer to have my favourite pastries and several snacks. Nevertheless, fruit platter and cheese platter will be a great addition too. This time I prepare several types of croissant and floral tea. You can opt to cook and prepare the food by yourself or get the one from your local bakery. I also have the list of best coffee shops in Singapore that do delivery, go and check it out.

Dress Well as if You're Going Out

Well this is a perfect time to wear the dress you've abandoned at the corner of your wardrobe. I choose to wear a simple dress with an off shoulder accent in rose gold colour. I admit that I haven't worn my evening or semi formal dresses in a very long time, so it's time to jump into one. Bodycon dresses with shimmer, printed summer dresses, or even a one shoulder dresses can be a great option. I choose to match it with my perplex clutch that is custom made. You just have to decide on the dress code with your friends and have fun.

Invite Your Friends via Zoom

Last but not least, create a zoom invite link and invite all of your cliques. I feel that the more the merrier, but it's totally up to you! It would be great to play games together as well. There are few games that can be played online like the Bingo or you can do a Netflix commentary while watching the same movie together.

So that's my tips for having an afternoon tea at home with all of your friends sans going out. What are other activities you like to do over zoom calls? Let me know in the comment section below!

  2. Hi there! Hope you had a fantastic weekend so far :)

I loved this post, specially for the idea of taking a break that implicates to look forward for our wellness and for a moment of reset, which is essential specially in these days.

I never say no to a coffee moment or tea moment, specially here in Spain where having your time to have a "merienda" is sacred. I totally agree with you that getting a fancy look is a good idea, not only if you go out but if you want to feel special :)

PS: that croissants looks terrific, want one!
