Pollen Singapore

Pollen Singapore is one of the restaurants located in the Marina Bay Area. Tucked inside the Flower Dome at Gardens by The Bay, the restaurant is a good pit stop after a long day walking or if you want to have a fancy weekend meal or celebration. Read on to see the full experience.

Pollen Singapore High Tea

Before diving in to the menu, I feel like High Tea is a lush experience by its own. Pollen Restaurant and The Fennel Cafe is located inside the Flower Dome (usual price $12), so by having a reservation you will get a free complimentary access to the vicinity. A classy buggy will take you to the Flower Dome from the Gardens by the Bay Arrival Plaza. The buggy service is available every 5 minutes. You'll then be seated on the mezzanine level to be enjoying the food in the midst of beautiful blooming flowers. The cool air and the flower scent makes me feel like as if it is outdoor. To be frank the temperature inside the Flower Dome were quite cold (+- 19 degrees), so don't forget to bring or wear your jacket. I was wearing my Leesle Handbook Style Dress in Royal Blue with my mint coat.

The Menu

The Pollen Singapore High Tea is served daily from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm. The Menu is modified monthly, but it will consist of both sweet and savoury fare. The price for the entire set is $45 per person and it is totally worth it. When the tray came, we were blown away as there were so so many little pastries, choux, scones, you name it.  The portion was very generous and in the end we couldn't finish everything and opt for a take away.

For the sweet pastries, you will find macaroon,  mini pound cake,  valrhona chocolate tart, choux pastry, and strawberry mouse pudding. Not forgetting the devonshire which is their homemade scones with clotted cream and berry jam. For the savoury part, you'll taste grain toast bread, smoked salmon sandwich, The entire set makes this high tea very enjoyable as you can rotate between the sweet and savoury.

Every set also comes with selected drinks from the tea and coffee selections. Selections of teas include english breakfast, earl grey, green tea, chamomile, peppermint, rooibos vanilla. Whereas for coffee, you can choose to have espresso, macchiato, long black, cappuccino, flat white, latte or mocha.

Verdict

Overall, I really enjoyed the Pollen Singapore High Tea as I can sample many dishes at one go. It has a good value for money considering the amount of dishes and it also comes with a drink. The High Tea experience is great to be enjoyed with your friends or with your partner for a special occasion. After enjoying the high tea, you can continue the journey walking around the Flower Dome. What's not to love? If you don't know, the entire place is really huge so it may take around 1.5 hours to really explore the place. So, take your time and enjoy the place!

  1. Hey dear, how you doing?!

Oh my god, you're always torturing me with your food posts haha! You may know that I ADORE sweets and specially the coffee hour (we call it merienda in Spain and it is almost a sacred time). I love that these gardens offer a bunch of products for the tea hour and also a piece that everybody could like... You look really happy so I assume you really enjoyed your time at this place, and the coolest part is the location, so dreamy and straight from a Pinterest board!
