On Healing The Inner Child And Ancestral Trauma

Hello, everyone! I hope you are doing well. This might not be the brightest blog post out there, but today I want to share with you about my journey on healing. On the last post I asked you on what do you want to see on my blog and I received heartwarming messages that says post or do the thing that makes you happy. In relation to this post, I would like to share with you my journey on self discovery that broadens my mind and vision. It is something raw, unlike other posts with pretty pictures or rainbow mood. Yet, I hope you'll learn something new from it or get a new perspective on life. Enjoy reading!

What is Ancestral Trauma?

All of us carry genetic codes that contains not only physical information like skin tone, hair, etc or how we behave, but also trauma and unhealed emotion from up to 7 generations back. It can be difficult because most of the time it is not even ours to begin with. Yet it embodied in our being and we subconsciously carry it. I don't exactly know how to put this in words, but I'm going to try to simplify it. Long story short, I have just undergone a series of therapy and Reiki for a few weeks now on inner child and ancestral trauma healing. I did a lot of research beforehand so I can get a targeted treatment. Since 2 months ago, I feel easily triggered by things happened at home which brings me back to the year of 2015, when my mom passed away. I realize I wasn't fully recovered so that little trigger and unhealed pain can come anytime. So, I went to the therapy in order to recover from that grief.

On Healing the Inner Child

Do you know that the time we were carried in our mother's womb and the first 9 years of our lives are the most important because we absorb everything we see, listen, touch? When you hear the term "Mommy or Daddy Issue", it can also be rooted from this upbringing. For example Mommy issue can appear now as you feeling not good enough/ unworthy. This can be caused by your mom as she didn't give her full attention or doesn't validate your feeling when you were little. During the therapy I found out that I carry the feeling of sadness, rejection, and abandonment that becomes very prominent during the time of grief that is actually carried during pregnancy. Also other emotions I picked up during 1-3 years old. During the Biomagnetic therapy, I release all of that emotion and trauma through a tool and movement exercise. It is also what I keep doing independently at home if that feeling emerges again. At first, It hurts so bad because it replays & compress everything that makes you sad, angry, disappointed, wrecked in 30 years in one day.

When you start taking care of yourself you start feeling better, you start looking better, and you start attracting better. It all starts within you.

Can I just numb the pain? I thought. But it will not solve the issue. So here I am doing it now, rather than later. I went through a lot of purging, I'm letting go everything that doesn't serve me anymore. I realize It is very important for us to feel all the things we want to feel and acknowledge it and safely let it go instead of just burying it, cause it will erupt again at any time. I have also practised more meditation and forgiveness every day. I mentioned all the feelings left caused by another person intentionally or not, then truly forgive them, then letting it go. Nobody can use my past or lack to trigger me anymore because now I have accepted every single little thing about me. If other people can't accept it then it's okay, I will still be me. I also have more choice on how to react when someone say bad things for example, most probably I will just let it gone with the wind.

The Benefit of Healing

By doing this I am not only healing myself but also my mom, dad and all the maternal and paternal lineage up and my lineage down. So that my future kid doesn't have to experience everything I feel now, and they can be their highest possible self without all the burden. I have also learned how to love myself more. I realize with all my scars and bruises yet I was still able to climb the darkest pit. So what's stopping me now?  Now I understand better about it and how I can go from here. I told myself I want to be a better person and always improving the way I feel or react towards something. I am now on a journey of self love because you can't pour from an empty cup, right? I have also cultivated a better morning routine everyday with yoga, meditation, affirmation and also shadow work, breath work, and Reiki in between. Furthermore, I can also relate better with other people having similar issue. What do you think about this? Do you have a similar journey or things that happened in your life that is affecting you? What have you done to overcome it? I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

Today I choose to embrace myself. I am whole. I am loved. There is nothing I'm not worthy of.

  3. Hello there, first of all thanks for visiting my last blog post.

I know this is not an easy topic to talk about but we all definitely have all this trauma baggage and we must search for new ways of approaching them. I think therapy could definitely work and personal deals when you make peaces with your older yourself. In the end there is no specific answer on how to tackles ancestral traumas but I love that you offer some new points of views. Of course it is a long path and the way to go away from this won't be easy, but when you see the evolution by approaching the big picture you can really notice the changes.

    Take care friend!
