Wapa Di Ume Hotel is a chic Bali resort located around five minutes by car from the Ubud City Centre. The hotel is located in a small street called Suweta, and it is an uphill ride from the Ubud Market. Upon stepping our foot, we feel it is a combination of the words “traditional” and “modern.” That aesthetic mix is best reflected in the common areas, beginning with the street-side entrance, lobby, and the covered walkway topped with greenery and stone walls and Balinese inspired decoration like art, furnishings, and materials

What are the other guests like? 

Leisure and peace-seeking travelers mingle with foreign and domestic tourists who aren’t Bali newbies. Travellers who seek for value in Ubud, as the hotel is located in the same area with the renowned Viceroy Hotel minus the price tag. The secluded setting is great for those who prefer a silent day and relaxing holiday.

How fluid was check in and check out?

Check in and check out lines are fast, but due to the current pandemic situation, staffs are limited and check in counter was not open 24 hours. When we arrived apparently, the front desk has closed and there was some sort of miscommunication, therefore we have to wait. Nevertheless, the team were very helpful in assisting us for the check in and assisted us to our room.

About the digs

Wapa Di Ume Ubud has a total of 33 rooms. The room types in this Bali Hotel are Lanai Room, Di Ume Suite, One Bedroom Pool Villa, Terrace Villa with Pool, Family Pool Villa, and Wapa Villa with Pool. In all rooms, high ceilings and tall glass door framing spectacular views of the rice field and help keep things bright and airy. While touches like balcony, high quality beds, and showers stocked with complete shower products keep things comfortable. The entire site is surrounded by beautiful rice field, garden, and floral plantation. The hotel has a large two tiered main pool with daybed, great for those who love to exercise during the holiday or just for sun tanning. It also has a gym and spa on site. 

Room Features We Like

The bungalow style room is facing directly to the vast rice field view. The room has a big double bed with white resort style canopy. The bathroom is huge with a separate bath tub and shower area. Totally great for your me time (read: bubble bath, wine, and book).The guests have a good access to the pool and room amenities like complimentary bottled water, coffee, complete bath amenities including bath robe, and Wi-Fi. There is a space between one room to the other, guests can have a great privacy. We feel that the entire setting is perfect for relaxation, wether you are wanting a quiet place or to wind down after a shopping day.

Review On the F&B

Wapa's Restaurant and Mr Wayan are the in-house dining place with vivacious rice field view. The open air restaurant is adorned with wooden furniture, stone interior and Balinese art. Guests are served Indonesian and Western-influenced menus for breakfast. We can choose the dish from the menu and we had fried rice, toast, and fruits along with coffee. The overall dishes was great, with quite a huge portion, and the ingredients used were fresh.

Wapa Di Ume is hotel in Bali you need to consider on your next visit because it is a great option and it has a great value. With its strategic location and facilities you can relaxing holiday in Ubud while staying not too far from the Ubud City Centre.
